Ali Shahriari, MD is an Assistant Professor of Surgery at Indiana University School of Medicine. He was raised in Sweden and attended Gotenburg University School of Medicine in Sweden.
Dr Shahriari completed his general surgery residency program in 2005 at the Indiana University School of Medicine. He then graduated from the Cardiothoracic Program at Yale University, where he received specialized aortic training under the tutelage of Dr. John Elefteriades. He also completed additional focused training in endovascular interventions.
Dr. Shahriari is board certified in Thoracic Surgery and has a practice focus on open and endovascular repair of the entire aorta, aortic root repair/ replacements, the Ross procedure branched and fenestrated endografts for suprarenal, thoracoabdominal and arch aneurysms, and Marfan syndrome. He also specializes in minimally invasive treatment of valvular heart disease.
He is the proud father of three and resides in Indianapolis, Indiana.
